In 2005 the RAP company in cooperation with Dřevomonta company carried out a project of reception desk within the Nile House lobby. The architect was Battley McCarthy, the works documentation was done by Vítězslav Vrbka, AiA and Jitka Vrbkova, AiA.
The unique thing in this commission was the use of hand-carved massive walnut. The work is actually a sculpture by Vit Novotný equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The marrying of natural and industrial material, treatment of detail like brackets for glass elements, stainless slats, opening of the air conditioning and IT technologies requires much craft and sensibility. When working on a similar projects we cooperate with artists and sculpturors, who can often solve the unsolvable in a very sensitive manner.
